Panel Focus: Mobile Marketing Strategies for Success in E-Commerce apps

The panel “Mobile Marketing Strategies for Success in E-Commerce Apps” will focus on the strategies that e-commerce that businesses can adopt to keep with the ever-changing landscape of mobile e-commerce. While 2015 saw the trend inevitably canted towards becoming increasingly mobile, multi-channel e-commerce businesses are in a position to leverage these trends to boost their gains. The panelists will touch on a number of talking points pertaining to these trends in the mobile commerce sector, including but not limited to strategies for first-time users, the role of social media advertising to increase user-acquisition, and leveraging in-built features in the devices to enhance the user experience.

Meet the Panelists:

Ashwin Shekhar – Ashwin Sekhar is the Director of Business Development at Glispa GmbH for APAC. Ashwin has over 4 years of experience in the mobile marketing industry. Ashwin has previously worked at InMobi and Infosys. He has a strong business acumen, with which he has aided companies in building their mobile marketing channels. At Glispa, Ashwin works on building and establishing strong business relationships.

Jay Horathai – Jay Horathai, a self-described technophile, is the Manager of Ad Business Acquisitions at Google in SE Asia. He works with many mobile app businesses in Thailand to help them market their apps through Google’s platform. Before joining Google, Jay worked with Sony Electronics where he served as the Management Associate Executive for the Fresh Minds Programme, an initiative set up by Sony to groom young talent. With a passion and understanding of the tech industry, Jay also serves in advisory capacities for many startups in Thailand.

John Pradithavanij – With over 18 years of experience that has spanned a number of senior management positions in major MNCs, John Pradithavanij is one of Thailand’s most eminent and leading digital experts. With a Masters in Interactive Design, Game and Interactive Media Design from Pratt Institute in New York, John currently serves as the Managing Director at Xaxis, a global digital media platform that connects advertisers to their audience through multiple channels. Prior to this, John was the Interactive Media Manager at Henry Dreyfuss Associates, where he was responsible for building new innovations working on AT&T and Polaroid.

Juliette Gimenez – Juliette Gimenez is the co-founder and advisor at Goxip, a mobile-first that enables users to search, discover and shop for fashions based on image recognition, text search and celebrity stylefeeds. Juliette, who has over 9 years of experience, is a passionate and dynamic entrepreneurial professional. With her drive for excellence, Juliette has been instrumental in driving multi-million dollar sale growths in the e-commerce sector for many companies including CDiscount and Living Social. Prior to starting Goxip, Juliette was the VP at ubuyibuy, a company which has since been acquired by Groupon.

Nuttaputch – Nuttaputch is the head of Online Marketing at DTAC, one of Thailand’s leading telecommunications service providers. Nuttaputch is a well-known digital marketer and blogger. With a strong background in digital marketing and content marketing, he plans and manages the overall digital communications for products and services at DTAC. His blog, nuttaputch.com draws over 300,000 visitors per month. Nuttaputch is also a TV Host and Producer for DigiLife TV, a live program that is focused on the digital lifestyle.
