The panel “Key App Trends in 2016: How to Succeed in User Engagement and Monetisation” will see some of the mobile industry’s top entrepreneurs expounding on the key trends that will be prevalent in 2016. One of the major challenges faced by app developers and marketers is user acquisition and retention. The panelists will provide insights on key strategies and tactics that marketers can use to drive app revenue successfully.

Meet the Panelists:

Jakob – Jakob Pedersen is the Co-Founder and CEO at Playlab, one of the leading social game producers in South East Asia. They produce apps for both iOS and Android, and have amassed over 25 million downloads. They produced the top-grossing app, “Juice Cubes” in collaboration with Rovio. Jakob is passionate about Mobile Gaming and Social Media Marketing, and has mentored aspiring entrepreneurs and startups to help them get their business off the ground. Prior to Playlab, Jakob founded Pagemodo, a suite of Facebook marketing tools that helps companies and businesses set up a Facebook presences with minimal technical or graphical assistance.

Junde Yu – Junde Yu is the Vice President at App Annie, APAC. App Annie is a leading app store analytics platform for iPhone, iPad, Mac and Google. At App Annie, Junde manages sales teams across Greater China, Japan and Korea. Junde joined App Annie as a consultant in 2011, where he worked on research for products that were a part of App Annie’s Series B investment plans. Following that he served as the Director for Business Development at App Annie in Beijing, where he signed multiple contracts with top internet companies to become App Annie customers. The success of this venture led to the formation of the team at APAC in 2012. Before joining App Annie, Junde Yu’s career spanned multiple managerial positions at a number of concerns, including TapJoy, SmarTots and Scoreloop.

Ronen Mense – Ronen is the Vice President at AppsFlyer in Asia. AppsFlyer is a mobile advertising attribution and marketing analytics platform. Mobile app marketers, brands and ad agencies can use the platform to measure and optimize their entire mobile customer acquisition funnel from one real-time dashboard. With over 10 years of experience in the mobile industry, Ronen specializes in performance-based and ROI-driven mobile advertising, and consumer monetization. With a keen business acumen and strategic thinking, Ronen is highly experienced in penetrating new markets and influencing C-levels. Before AppsFlyer, Ronen was the VP of APAC Sales and Business Development at MassiveImpact.

Thawatvongse – Thawatvongse Silamanonda (Mr. Oh) is the Senior Vice President at Mono Group, one of Thailand’s leading entertainment content creators that provides services and products via multiple platforms. Mr Oh, who has a masters in business administration, has an extensive experience in Internet and mobile e-commerce. He was the president of the Mono Travels Co., Ltd from 2000 to 2008. Currently, he is also part of the risk management committee at Mono Group.

Vincent Low – Vincent Low is the Chief Strategist and Head of Media Product Marketing at Akamai Technologies, Inc., where he is in charge of gaming, digital media product market strategy and new business development. Having been a part of the gaming and digital media landscape for over 15 years, Vincent’s career began at Samsung, where he served as a Corporate Solutions consultant. After serving as a Business Development Manager and Director at Viacomm, Vincent returned to Samsung where he was part of the Strategy and Business Development team.
